Like many musicians, when the iPad came into being I was hoping they would release a iPad music stand so I could use my iPad in many ways to enhance my music. The one thing I lacked was a way in which to hold it whilst banging out a tune on my guitar. I rigged up a music stand and used Velcro to hold it in place. Well I thought it was a good idea at the time and it wasn’t, it was too top heavy and kept on falling over. I was delighted to find out that a ipad music stand has been designed and made specifically for this purpose by Griffin Technology, they say you can mount your iPad on any mic stand. Guess what it does!

It attaches to any microphone stand and its really sturdy, so I bought one and it’s just what the doctor ordered. I have had it for a couple of months now and have used it whilst practising and playing live gigs. During the last couple of weeks the amount of people that have asked me where I bought it is amazing. This stand is so versatile and although light in weight, it’s pretty robust. Well, that’s my birthday money spent but what a cracking product, for only $99 it’s an absolute must. Plug it in and it transforms your iPad into an all singing all dancing effects center. I can’t fault it, these guys at Griffin, they are producing some really cool products and unlike other companies, they work and are well built. They even manage to put a smile on your face after forking out your dinero.
