4 super smart ipad cases with keyboard – Look cool as you type

I am going to have to come clean and admit that I need to think about searching for  iPad cases with keyboard functionality. I think the touch screen is ok for writing the odd email or for interacting on the plethora of social media sites, but if you’re like me and have to write articles and documents on your iPad on a fairly regular basis then it really starts to become a little too much hard work and gets a wee bit frustrating.

I’m still no expert typist however years of clacking away on a keyboard means I can work much faster on my macbook but I would rather be using the iPad.  So to make sure I get the most from my iPad 2 now is the time I need to get myself a cool looking iPad keyboard case.

As with all the Ipad accessories there is an ever growing list to choose from so I think it is all about doing your research and finding one that fits your budget. Along with that, you need to ascertain whether or not it has the functionality and flexibility you need, is strong enough to withstand the level of work you do and is has the appropriate viewing angles so your wrists and neck and not suffering from regular use.

As I say I have started to do a little research and thought I would share with you some of the best iPad 2 cases and iPad cases with keyboard that have caught my eye so far. These are in no particular order of preference (although I am very much swaying towards The Clamcase  but they might give you a few ideas as to what is available.  By the way I don´t own any of these cases yet nor have I had access to them so this is not a full on iPad keyboard case review.

This is more like a wish list of potential iPad cases with keyboard that I am thinking of buying.  Later on this week we have a couple of these cases arriving and we will write an in-depth review of each.

I have to say this little beauty is tempting me big time. Apart from its stunning good looks it also has a huge amount of functionality.  The keyboard for example has 14 function keys and it has Bluetooth connectivity so you can update, email and organise your work with no hassle. The viewing angles also look very friendly and are suited to both work and play time. I also like the fact that when using the keyboard the Clamcase iPad 2 case the iPad takes on a laptop feel which is very familiar to me so will speed up my productivity. Yes I am liking the Clamcase a lot.

ZAGGmate iPad Case

Being a fan of the Zagg Skins for the iPad they were one of the first places I visited for an iPad case with keyboard. This one doesn´t disappoint with great looks and oozing class.

I do like a sliver sleek design and this one has just that as it is made from aluminium giving a very modern and high quality image that gives good protection for your iPad. The functions look user friendly too with multiple viewing and typing angles plus a sturdy looking keyboard that looks easy to use. Very cool looking bit of kit in my view.

Kensington Keyboard Case for iPad 2 and Ipad

There is an earlier version of this iPad keyboard case called the Kensington Key Folio but as I have a iPad 2 I  looked at the newer version the Key Folio Pro. After reviewing both cases they both seem almost identical so the description is apt for both models. There are links to both types below.

The Kensington Folio Pro iPad 2 case with keyboard is made from leather and designed to give good protection while out and about. As with the others it has Bluetooth capability and has all the cut outs so you can access all the ports and other feature found on the iPad 2.

It also has the ability to turn from portrait to landscape viewing angles so you can type properly and also use certain apps that require different modes to work. Looks a solid buy for the money.

iLuv case with Keyboard for iPad 2

This has a very simple and functional design that aims to give the iPad complete protection no matter where you take it. There are the usual suspects of functionality that you expect from a decent iPad keyboard case but the price tag is a little more wallet friendly.

As I said I am only scraping the surface here when it comes to iPad cases with keyboards. What I would advise is before you go ahead and get one just think about how much typing work you do. For me it is a no brainer because I write every day so an iPad case with keyboard is going to be very beneficial for me however it you just do the occasional document paying the extra for the keyboard may not be worth it.
